I saw a demo of the TDZ two weeks ago running Softimage and it was pretty
darn nice. However, cost wise it is the price of a High end ALPHA or more.

Certainly it has the advantage of graphic accelerators etc for nice
shaded displays and stuff, but I still think the ALPHA's win out in the
sheer horsepower department.

So, I guess it depends on what your looking for, nice real time feed back
in modeling/animation (TDZ) or rendering power (Alpha's).
